Malaysia part2: Penang island

As a second stop in Malaysia we chose Georgetown on Penang island known mostly for its artsy laid-back atmosphere and good food!

Georgetown old city centre is full of street-art

Look at this creep

Where do we go now?

On the way to NBA

Georgetown is not only street-art but also port and fishermen living in the houses on water.

Except Georgetown we visited National park with nice forrest walk and beaches

It's currently monsoon season in Malaysia so it basically rains almost everyday. On picture is the storm that caught us  unprepared on Monkey beach

One day we took a trip to see the biggest buddhist temple in Malaysia located just outside Georgetown.

Inside the temple complex

Gardeners doing their job

Ninja turtles fighting for the food

And.. Last but not least - the food! Penang is full of night markets and street stands and eateries and restaurants full of delicious food. My personal favorites were the night markets where you could get delicious food for good price.

After Penang there is one more stop in Malaysia - Langkawi island - and then -> Thailand.
